Features

HyDistinction Hybrid windows feature the convenience and energy efficiency of PVC on the inside with the durability of aluminum cladding on the outside. The clip-in common mullion design boosts CSA water tightness performance to a higher sustainable level by eliminating fasteners in the mullion, and therefore, the need for caulking or sealants.

The sash accommodates 5mm glass without sacrificing air space. Maintaining the 1/2” air space ensures the optimum performance of the sealed unit. Triple weatherstripping on casements and awnings ensure wind and rain are kept outside where they belong.

Additional features include multi-lock (casements & awnings), exterior brickmould with integral nailing flange, and an optional perimeter frame assembly bracket.

Aluminum SDLs

Aluminum SDLs are for exterior use on all windows and doors, as well as, on the interiors of HyDistinction windows. Exterior SDLs are available in our 4 different aluminum cladding colours or 52 Premium Exterior Finishes for HyDistinction windows, where as the interior aluminum SDLs are available in white only, to match HyDistinction windows.

Encore Folding Hardware (Standard)

	Encore folding hardware and multipoint locking systems are standard with HyDistinction casements and awnings. The Encore series features a sleek contemporary design, and the folding handle greatly reduces interference with curtains and blinds. Available only in white for HyDistinction windows.
