HABITAT FOR HUMANITY REWARDS ALL WEATHER WINDOWS WITH HUGE STACKS OF PANCAKES

April 13, 2012 - As part of our ongoing commitment to support community initiatives, and in celebration of National Volunteer Week, our dedicated Edmonton staff will be volunteering their time to build and install 200 windows and 40 doors for Habitat for Humanity. The goal is to help construct 20 homes for families in need.

Habitat for Humanity will also be on site, nourishing us with the breakfast of champions – and by “the breakfast of champions” we mean “pancakes”. After all, the best part of waking up is pancakes in your gut.

All Weather Windows is proud to support Habitat for Humanity through a Platinum level sponsorship. We continually encourage staff to volunteer their time to help build homes for the less fortunate. To date, All Weather Windows has donated over $1,000,000 worth of windows and doors to various Habitat for Humanity projects.

All materials required to build the windows and doors have been kindly donated by All Weather Windows’ suppliers Masonite, Westech, and AGC Flat Glass.

The award was presented by the Government of Canada at a gala event in Ottawa to recognize the exceptional work done by the company in producing and promoting energy-efficient products.

This is the second consecutive year All Weather Windows has received this prestigious award, which recognizes Canadian leaders who best address the "Five A's" of market transformation: availability, awareness, accessibility, affordability and acceptability.

“Winning this award for a second year in a row is a significant achievement for our company. All Weather Windows acquires Winnipeg-based Company to expand its operations across Canada

May 18, 2011 — Edmonton, AB — All Weather Windows of Edmonton announced today the acquisition of Allan's Glass and Aluminum products, a manufacturer and installer of commercial glazing systems based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This acquisition supports All Weather Windows' growth plan to expand its commercial operations across Canada.

Based in Winnipeg, Allan's Glass has been installing commercial glass and aluminum systems in Western Canada for 28 years. The list of award-winning commercial projects under their management is impressive including the Winnipeg Humane Society and the Millennium Library in Winnipeg. The company is highly experienced in the technical demands of today's window wall and curtain wall applications.

"We are very excited about welcoming the Allan's Glass family to our team. This acquisition will complement our current commercial operations and strengthen our ability to serve our clients with one of the most innovative and competitive portfolios in the glass industry," said Richard Scott, President of All Weather Windows.

Allan's Glass will maintain its well-established brand name under the ownership of All Weather Windows. Allan's Glass has approximately 30 employees including its founder John Borys and his son, Dean Borys. John and Dean will be staying on post-acquisition in the capacities of General Manager and Operations Manager respectively. "We are delighted to be joining All Weather Windows. Together we are ready to manufacture the efficient windows for tomorrow.

It is a win win transaction," said John Borys, Founder and General Manager of Allan's Glass.

For the third year running, All Weather Windows retains its position as one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies.

Gord Wiebe, CEO of All Weather Windows, is proud of the excellence exhibited by employees and business partnerships, which drive corporate success. “I especially appreciate the ongoing teamwork, accountability and community spirit displayed by everyone who has a stake in All Weather Windows.”

Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies targets businesses with revenues of over $10 million. Qualifying companies must demonstrate excellence in every facet of their business, from high stakeholder and customer value to a sustained focus on a core vision and growth throughout the year.

Furthermore, companies must demonstrate healthy corporate culture and values that go beyond financial success. In an age when business relationships routinely cross borders, companies must demonstrate corporate citizenship and a strong awareness of global responsibility and integrity.

All Weather Windows relentlessly pursues customer satisfaction by responding with effective strategies and innovative thinking. This, combined with the excellence of its products and services, has led the company to maintain its place among Canada’s business frontrunners.
