        • Awning

          An awning window is a casement window that is hung horizontally, hinged on top, so that it swings outward towards the exterior.

        • Double Hung

          An operating style of window with an upper sash that slides down, and a lower sash that slides up.

        • Casement

          A window with a side-hinged sash that swings towards the exterior like a door, comprising either a side-hung, top-hung or occasionally bottom-hung sash or a combination of these types, sometimes with fixed panels on one or more sides of the sash.

        • Picture

          A picture window is a type of window in which a sealed unit is glazed directly into the window frame, without a sash. Picture windows are intended to provide an unimpeded view, as if framing a picture.

        • Bay/bow

          A type of window consisting of four or more window units attached at an angle to create a protrusion from the wall line.

        • Glider

          An operating style of window that has one fixed sash and a sash which slides horizontally to open.

        • Single Hung

          An operating style of window, with fixed top panel and a lower sash that slides up vertically.

        • Fixed Sash

          A fixed window is a stationary window unit that does not open, and is not operable.
