“When I was 11, my counsellor spent time with each of us individually just to talk. Ten years later, that conversation still sticks with me,”

– Kendra, former camper and current camp leader.

A camp that changes kids.

Each year, Nakamun welcomes over 1,600 kids to its Alberta facilities for camps that offer horseback riding, sports, dance, drama, art, film production, water sports and paintballing.

More importantly, Nakamun is a place where kids can grow in their faith and establish life-long friendships.

A faithful partner.

All Weather Windows Executive Vice President Henry Banman established a partnership with Nakamun in 2002. That’s when he authorized the donation of all windows and doors for Nakamun’s Bluebird cabins.

Since then, All Weather Windows has donated resources to assist with the construction of the camp’s hotel, swimming pool, gymnasium, and music rooms.

“This camp does amazing things,” Banman said. “It provides emotional healing and increases self-esteem. It’s a place where kids and families can come together and have their lives influenced and changed for the better.”

“I have seen firsthand the amazing impact Nakamun has on young people and we’re so proud to be a part of bringing that experience to them.”

– Henry Banman, All Weather Windows Executive Vice President

Helping them grow.

Camp Nakamun has undertaken a large development campaign to expand the camp’s property and offerings in order to reach more kids.

The expansion calls for new accommodations, a covered horse riding arena, and an activity centre with gymnasium, climbing wall and meeting rooms. These expansions will deeply enrich the day-to-day experience at Nakamun and allow for an additional 650 campers every summer.

All Weather Windows is taking a leadership role in this development campaign, contributing resources as it has done for years but also identifying potential sponsors and donors.

If you are interested in supporting Camp Nakamun’s development campaign, or would like more information, please contact Henry Banman.
