2015 Edmonton Home & Garden Ticket

  1. ELIGIBILITY AND LIMITATIONS

To be eligible for the Edmonton Home & Garden Show Ticket Contest (the “Contest”), an individual must:  (a) be a legal resident of Canada in the province of Alberta; and (b) be of the age of majority in Alberta at the time of entry.

Employees of All Weather Windows Ltd., (the “Sponsor”) its affiliates and subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies, and the household members and/or the immediate family of any of the above, are not eligible to participate in the Contest. For the purpose of these Contest Rules, “immediate family” means husband, wife, spouse, mother, father, brother, sister, son and/or daughter, whether or not they reside in the same household.

The Sponsor shall have the right at any time to require proof of identity and/or eligibility to participate in the Contest. Failure to provide such proof within the requested period of time will result in disqualification.

The Contest is administered by the Sponsor using the Twitter platform.  The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Twitter, and by entering the Contest, each entrant provides a complete release to Twitter with respect to any damages related to his/her participation in the Contest and any prize, if he/she is a Winner.

  1. CONTEST PERIOD AND DRAW DATES

This Contest runs from 12:01 a.m. Mountain Standard Time (MST) on Monday, March 9, 2015 to 3:00 p.m. MST on Friday, March 13, 2015 (the “Contest Period”).

There will be two (2) prizes awarded each day during the Contest Period.  The first two (2) winners will be selected from among all eligible entries submitted on Monday March 9 by a random draw at 4:00 p.m. on March 9, and then the other winners will be selected from among all eligible entries submitted after the close of the previous day’s draw and until 3 p.m. on each of March 10, 11, 12 and 13th. Draws will be held at the office of the Sponsor or its agent in Edmonton, Alberta. Winners will be notified by Tweet and have 72 hours to claim their prize.

  1. HOW TO PARTICIPATE/PRIZE

No purchase necessary.  To enter, retweet the contest tweet from All Weather Windows that contains information about the Edmonton Home & Garden Show with the Twitter handle @HomeShowsAB. One (1) entry per person per day. Entries from multiple accounts will disqualify the entrant.

There will be ten (10) prize packages, each consisting of two (2) admission tickets to the Edmonton Home & Garden Show taking place at the Edmonton Expo Centre from March 19-22, 2015. Door admission only (parking and other incidentals are not included). Retail value is $30.00 per prize package.

Each winner will be selected by a random draw from among all eligible entries for one particular day of the Contest Period. Before being declared to be a winner, each potential winner must correctly answer a skill-testing question. Each prize must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions and is not transferrable.  Prizes will be available for pick-up in person from All Weather Windows at 18550-118A Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. Alternatively, a winner may request that the tickets be mailed to him/her. All Weather Windows is not responsible for any lost, delayed or misplaced prizes if sent by mail.

  1. RELEASE

Each Winner will be required to execute a legal agreement and release (“Release”) that confirms Winner’s:

  • eligibility for the Contest and compliance with these Contest Rules;
  • acceptance of the Prize as described in these Contest Rules;
  • release for the Sponsor and all of its subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, directors, officers, suppliers, agents, sponsors and administrators (collectively the “Releasees”) from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damage, cost or expense arising out of participation this Contest, participation in any Contest-related activity or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize, including without limitation, costs, injuries, losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising therefrom;
  • grant to the Sponsor of the unrestricted right, in the Sponsor’s sole discretion to produce, reproduce, publish, broadcast, communicate by telecommunication, exhibit, distribute, adapt and otherwise use or re-use the Winner’s name, voice, statement, image, likeness, and city or region of residence in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, in connection with the Contest and the promotion and exploitation thereof; and
  • since the Contest is administered on the Twitter platform, acknowledgement that the Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Twitter, and providing a complete release to Twitter as one of the Releasees as described in (iii) above. and

If the executed Release is not returned to the Sponsor within five (5) business days of the verification as the Winner, the potential Winner will be disqualified and another potential winner will be selected in a random draw and provided for in sections 2 and 3 of these Contest Rules.

  1. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability for lost or incomplete online entries, for any technical or telecommunications malfunctions or human error associated with any computer hardware or programming that is utilized in connection with the administration of the Contest.  The Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information associated with any online entries, or for any damage, defects or technical problems associated with the entrant’s computer or telecommunications equipment that may result from entering or attempting to enter the Contest.   Entrant assumes liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participating in the Contest, or by the acceptance, possession, use of, or failure to receive any prize. The Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability in the event that the Contest cannot be conducted as planned for any reason, including reasons beyond the control of the Sponsor, such as tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, Acts of God or technical failures.

  1. CONDUCT

By entering the Contest, entrant agrees to be bound by these Contest Rules, which are available on the Sponsor’s website at http://www.allweatherwindows.com/renovations/contest-rules/.  Entrant further agrees to be bound by the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant found to be: (a) violating these Contest Rules: (b) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest; (c) violating the terms of service, conditions or use and/or general rules or guidelines of any Sponsor property or service; and/or (d) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any person or business.

  1. PRIVACY / USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

All personal and other information as requested by and supplied to the Sponsor for the purpose of this Contest must be truthful, complete, accurate and in no way misleading. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry or entrant in its and their sole discretion, should any entry or entrant at any stage contain and/or supply untruthful, incomplete, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information.  Entrant grants the Sponsor the right to: (a) use his or her personal information for the purpose of administering the Contest; (b) if he/she is a winner, to use his or her name, city or town and province of residence, photograph, likeness, voice, prize information on the Sponsor’s website and in all media now known or hereafter devised for publicity and promotional purposes without further compensation unless prohibited by law.  Personal information will not be provided to any third party other than as provided for in these Contest Rules or as legally required. The Sponsor and any third party agents of the Sponsor will use personal information only for purposes related to this Contest and will be required to protect all personal information.

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All intellectual property, including but not limited to trade-marks, trade names, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source code, drawings, illustrations, logos, slogans and representations are owned by the Sponsor or its affiliates or by other entities and used under license and the trade-mark TWITTER is owned by Twitter, Inc.  All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any trade-marks, copyrighted material or other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.

  1. TERMINATION

The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, amend, modify or terminate all or any portion of this Contest at any time for any reason without prior notice.

  1. LAW

These are official Contest Rules. This Contest is governed by the laws of the province of Alberta and federal law applicable therein and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. These Contest Rules are subject to change without notice in order to comply with any applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over the Sponsor.
